Pink Saturday: Decorating With Pink

Here we are again...it's Saturday so that means it's time for Pink Saturday, hosted by Beverly at How Sweet the Sound.

Decorating with pink is a little intimidating to some people. It brings up thoughts of bubble gum and little girls. But if done correctly, its beautiful. Especially if you are into cottage decor...it's a must.

Here are some stunning examples:

This bedroom is a confection in pink, with a romantic organza canopy crowning the antique iron bed. The little chair in the dormer alcove has a lace-up corset back.

The owner of this living room loved the drapery fabric so much, she used what was left over to cover the living room armchair and throw pillows. The walls were painted Benjamin Moore's Marshmallow Bunny; the sofa is from Ralph Lauren.

This combination guest room and baby nursery was decorated with an eye to the future. Without just-for-the-moment baby motifs, the room exudes quiet sophistication in pale pink. The room can be modified to grow from toddler to teen years.

A linen paint finish in deep pink dresses down this quaint vessel sink. Touches of white, like on the mirror, baseboards, and accessories, tie the space together. A rag rug and fabric accents on the stool and sink cabinet give the bathroom a folksy flair.
